Novena to San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila

Act of Contrition

(Kneel. All)

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all, because they offend You, my God, who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

Let us Pray:
(All) O God, our loving Father: Your Son Jesus Christ delivered himself in sacrifice to You for: the love of men. Inspire us to love You with all our heart to the point of sacrifices. Your providential hand led your servants Blessed San Lorenzo and Companions to the land of Japan to imitate the sacrifice of Christ and to proclaim the Gospel of truth and the message of salvation. We humbly beseech You, through the intercession of this Holy martyrs, that we be given the grace of remaining faithful to You always as they did and that the light of the Gospel illumine all corners of our Christian motherland and of all countries near and far. We ask you this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.(silently mention the special favor you ask for through this novena)

Ten “Hail Mary’s…”
One “Glory be…”

PRAYER FOR THE SICK
(All) Beloved Saints Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila and Martyr Companions, to you do we come for help. Help us to have the same faith and love that you had for God. We call upon you today on behalf of____ our ailing beloved ones. By your prayers and intercession, obtain for them, not only comfort and peace for their souls, but also vigor, strength and health for their bodies. We place our entire confidence in you because we know that God loves you and that you care for us. We earnestly pray that our sick ones be purified and revitalized in every cell, tissue, nerve and organ, so that the bodily limbs may function effectively again.
Through your powerful intercession, help our sick to receive the grace of God’s miraculous compassion, so that they will be completely whole again, and thereby be able to continue serving God faithfully in this life to the best of their strength and to attain the salvation to which you arrived. Amen.
PRAYER IN TIMES OF ADVERSITY
Beloved Saints Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila and Companion Martyrs: You who experienced the supreme sacrifice of martyrdom for the proclamation of the Christian faith, inspire us with your strength and firmness of conviction to withstand the adversities of our lives and the difficulties of our existence. Teach us with your marvelous example and saintly wisdom to turns trial into blessings, by showing us the glory that comes from discovering the redemptive power of God’s love. When times are full of grief, when moments are suffused with worry, let us feel your presence in our midst, so that we will be aware that you are by our side, strengthening us and interceding for us before Almighty God that we may have patience in our sufferings and consolation in our hardships. Help us realize that only in knowing our weakness can we be strong, only undergoing sadness can we find real happiness, and only passing through trials and distress can we find peace, encouragement and spiritual joy. Amen.

LORENZO RUIZ, UNA NAMING MARTIR
Pananampalatayang iyong kinagisnan
Buong tatag man din na ‘yong tinuran
Ako ay Kristyano at handang mamatay
Libu-libong buhay kung may’ron man ako
Sa Panginoong Diyos ay ihahandog ko.

Hamilton Pool Preserve nature

Hamilton Pool Preserve Nature

24300 Hamilton Pool Rd  Dripping Springs, TX 78620

(512) 264-2740

Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve consists of 232 acres of protected natural habitat featuring a jade green pool into which a 50-foot waterfall flows. Formed long ago by the collapse of a large grotto (cave) into Hamilton Creek, the pool is surrounded by huge slabs of limestone that rest by the water's edge; large stalagtites grow from the ceiling high above. The ceiling and surrounding cliffs of the grotto are home to moss, maidenhair fern and cliff swallows. The Ashe juniper (cedar) uplands of the preserve are home to the endangered golden-cheeked warbler. A complete checklist of the Birds of Hamilton Pool is available.

----------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since the 1960's, Hamilton Pool has been a favorite summer swimming spot for Austin visitors and residents. The natural pool and creek are not chemically treated, so water quality is monitored regularly and swimming is occasionally restricted; call ahead to check conditions before your visit. Note: There are no lifeguards on duty, and drinking water and concessions are not available. Composting toilets and picnic tables are provided near the parking lot. Since Hamilton Pool is a nature preserve, the following rules apply: no fishing, mountain biking, camping, dogs or other pets. Cooking and fires are also not permitted.

 ======================================================================== --> -->
In addition to swimming and picnicking, hiking and nature study opportunities are also available at the preserve. Visitors making the .5-mile (round-trip) hike to the pool begin at the parking lot and descend into a narrow box canyon featuring impressive rock outcrops, bald cypress, lush plant life and peacefully flowing Hamilton Creek. The right fork of the trail junction, located by the creek, leads upstream to Hamilton Pool and the 50-foot waterfall, while the left fork (Canyon Trail, 3/4 mile) leads downstream to Hamilton Creek's confluence with the Pedernales River. Be advised that the Canyon Trail, and occasionally the entire preserve, may be closed to visitors after periods of heavy rain. Guided nature tours are available every Sunday at 10 AM or by appointment; call the park for reservations.
